The Columbia Baptist Ministry Center exists for the purpose of meeting the physical, material, social and spiritual needs of people through the churches of the Columbia Baptist Association in cooperation with other local service agencies.

The Columbia Baptist Ministry Center is supported by the churches of the Columbia Baptist Association through benevolent giving and donations of food, clothing and furniture.  Volunteers provide the manpower that enables the Center to function and be open to minister to those in need.

Services provided for those in need:

Clients are seen on a “first come, first serve” basis, Tuesdays and Thursdays.  Doors open at 8:00AM but please be aware that by 7:00 AM there is usually a line at the door of the Ministry Center.  Due to limited volunteers, funds and time only a certain number of clients will be seen each day.

·        Financial assistance (rent, utilities, gas...) - Once every 12 months.
·        Food assistance - Once every 3 months.

The client will need to provide the following:

·        Social Security Cards for everyone in the home.
·        Proof of income or written reason for no income, i.e.; disability statements.
·        For assistance with utilities the most recent statement, in their name, must be provided.  For rent assistance they must have a legally binding lease agreement and contact information for the landlord where they can be reached the day of the interview.
